Trail Updates
22/09/2024 – The forest still has extensive damage from storms over the past few years. We are awaiting more information from Forestry England as to what trails we can reopen and when. Some of the forest is open and there is more information on what is in our Facebook group.
Our Trails
The style of trails in Thrunton varies from XC-style trails to natural enduro-style tracks.
As a general rule, most tracks in Thrunton are not beginner-friendly due to the natural terrain. As part of our agreement with Forestry England, we cannot mark any trails or provide any maps; this is another reason why the trails are not suited for beginners.
Depending on where in the forest you go you can find everything from flowy tech tracks to big steeps with huge chutes. The one thing you will not find in the woods however is any jumps, drops or other features that are not natural. This is again due to our agreement with Foresty England, everything has to be natural, so while you may find the occasional rock roll or drop off a big rock, you will not find any bike park features here.
If you want to learn your way around the forest one of the best ways is joining our group and coming on builds or the regular rides we do. You can join by clicking here.
